Bishop Viard College and PCC

A group of students passionate about their environment work together to improve their environment and to implement the three R’s – reduce, re-use, recycle. These students work in partnership with Charles Barrie (PCC) to implement a plan to continually improve the environment in and around Bishop Viard College.

Paremata School, PCC, and Mana Coach Services

The students in the year 8 elective group took on the task of collecting old cooking oil and having it reconstituted into a bio fuel – the aim being to collect enough fuel to run a bus into Wellington for a field trip. A fantastic science experiment with an environmentally friendly outcome!

Natone Park School and Kiwi Ingenuity

The year 6 students from Natone Park School stretched their imaginations and creativity with this project. The students had to develop a design brief for an invention that could be made from recycled glass. John Poppleton from Kiwi Ingenuity supported the students with their designs.
